Arrived 1  hour before outside the building.Went inside the building 30mins before and had a seat inside the building till 1330. Mr. Kaiser Ali came  out   and called me inside the examination room.He  spoke to me for a brief moment about the safety aspect. Then he asked me  which type of ships I sailed on (I answered contained and tankers) container being my last ship he noted down container and  asked TEU of it. HE checked my CDC as well. He started with the defination of DWT and GT and diffrence between them. 

- How will you know ISM working onboard ship. While telling all the points about it as soon as i mentioned PMS he stopped me there and asked me what is it ?

and I imagined my ship PMS software and said him all of it ..mean while listrening for a while he asked me what if you find work is not done properly (answer was same as  PMS flogged, i said it in a sequence ) then he said tell me about other duties of Chief officer - i said all the duties in bullet points with brief discrption of each ...

then he stopped me as soon as I said FW is a duty of chief officer and immediately asked me what all inspection will be done related to it he wanted to hear the M notice related to it and all checks which will be done. 

-He asked about who was security officer onboardship I replied chief Engineer  and then he asked about ISPS and DOS.

- How will you do loading on container if planner didnt come.

- Then he asked all of a sudden there u see fire in a container while loading what action you will take as a chief officer. 

He gave me a ship and said this is your ship (PDV) and say all actions as per this :

He placed one target on port bow and said complete the plot as per the situation in which u can alter course to port for vessel forward of your beam (it was a over taking situation)

then he placed a vessel right ahead of me and said complete the plot if this vessel doin same speed and course.

as i answered these questions quickly he then jumped to  TSS situation :

he said you following TSS and You see towing vessel on your port bow crossing what action... 5 short rapid blast ... I asked him is it day he said yes so i dint mention compliment with light ... after this he asked me to tell light which will be shown by towing vessel more than 200 meters and length of vessel towing more then 50 mts gave me asheet to draw it and then asked me arc of visibility of towing lights ( I said it will be same as mast light )

then he kept vessel constraint by draft on ma stbd side crossing then asked me action i slowed down and didnt give 5 short rapid blast as Iwas a vessel not to impede her route.

- Then he asked me 3-4 situation of lights including Aground vessel light. 

- Atlast he kept few bouys in front of me and then asked me not to remove hand once i start.

Then he said you did quite ok so I am passing you.I was quite happy to hear that  ... Then I took my NOE with passed stamp and while going out of room wished him belated  Happy diwali.
